Frequently Asked Questions
Ordering Process
How do I create a custom vinyl record?
Simply click "Start Creating" or browse our templates to begin. You can customize all 6 parts of your vinyl package: front and back covers, Side A and Side B labels, and the vinyl surface itself (for picture discs). Upload your own music files, or use our music search engine to find songs - we'll purchase and license the music on your behalf! Add your artwork, and place your order!
Can I save my design and come back later?
Yes! Your designs are automatically saved to your browser's local storage. If you create an account, your designs will be saved to your account and accessible from any device.
What happens after I place my order?
After placing your order, you'll receive an email confirmation with your order details. Your custom vinyl will be individually cut using our professional lathe cutting process, then carefully packaged and shipped to you.
Shipping & Production
How long does production and shipping take?
Most orders ship within 3-5 business days. During peak seasons (Valentine's Day and holidays), production times may extend to 5-10 business days due to high demand. We recommend ordering early during these periods.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently, we ship within the United States. International shipping is coming soon! Join our newsletter to be notified when we expand our shipping options.
How is my vinyl packaged for shipping?
Your custom vinyl is carefully packaged in protective mailers designed specifically for records to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
Music & Audio
What audio file formats do you support?
We support MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, and WMV audio files. For best quality, we recommend WAV files, but high-quality MP3s (320kbps) work great too!
How long can each side of the vinyl be?
Each side can hold up to 20 minutes of audio. For optimal sound quality, we recommend keeping each side under 15 minutes.
Will my vinyl sound exactly like a pressed record?
Our lathe-cut vinyls have a warm, organic sound that's distinctly analog. While the sound quality is different from mass-produced pressed records, many customers love the unique, artisanal character of lathe-cut records. Think of it as the difference between a handwritten letter and a printed one - both deliver the message, but the handmade one has special character.
Can I use copyrighted music?
These custom vinyls are for personal use only. You can use any music for your personal vinyl, but please don't resell records containing copyrighted material you don't own.
Artwork & Design
What image formats are supported?
We support JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, HEIC, HEIF, and SVG image formats.
What resolution should my images be?
For best print quality, images should be at least 300 DPI. Lower resolution images may work but could appear pixelated or blurry when printed. If you zoom in on an image in the editor, be aware that quality may decrease.
What makes a good photo for vinyl printing?
The best photos are bright, in focus, and have good contrast. Avoid blurry, dark, or heavily filtered images. Remember that your image will be printed at 12 inches, so details matter!
Can I use templates?
Yes! We have a growing library of professional templates you can customize with your own text and images. It's a great starting point if you're not sure where to begin.
